My dad just brought me this huge gelatinous sphere from a MN wetland he was paddling through. It is clear on the inside and intricately patterned on the outside, like many small ferns, greeninsh, and entirely depressed against the surface. There are tiny black specks on the outside as well, about the size of mustard seeds. The whole thing is slimy and heavy, and it broke in half when he lifted it with his paddle. I want to do some microscopy on it later, but thought I'd shoot this out for now. I have a bunch of photos if anyone is curious.
